iW NEWS | Visit Films Acquires "Zero Bridge"

Visit Films has announced the worldwide acquisition of Tariq Tapa‘s “Zero Bridge.” The film will premiere at the 2008 Venice Film Festival, and is the first dramatic narrative feature film about contemporary daily life in the Indian-occupied city of Srinagar, Kashmir. The film was made with the support of the U.S. Fulbright Commission and IFP‘s Narrative Lab. “The story behind the creation of this film captivated us even before the first viewing,” said Visit’s Ryan Kampe and Sylvain Tron jointly in a statement. “The fact that Tariq shot, directed, edited, wrote, recorded sound and everything else that is required on a feature film, on his own, is astonishing.” Visit will commence sales at the Venice Film Festival and feature the film on its 2008 American Film Market slate.
