R.I.P. Paul Newman

He was one of the most beloved Hollywood movie stars of all time. A fine actor, an avid race car driver, a humanitarian, and the maker of some fine salad dressing. After months of illness, Paul Newman died this weekend, at the age of 83. Terribly sad. He’s one of the few screen actors who managed to consistently embrace great roles throughout his entire career. Some of his finest performances (Nobody’s Fool, The Road to Perdition) came at the end of his life. Of course, though, he’ll always be remembered for his iconic performances in films such as Hud, Cool Hand Luke, The Sting, The Verdict, The Color of Money, and Slap Shot.
