MoMA is once again hosting the Gotham Award nominees for “Best Film Not Playing at a Theater Near You,” with a series of screenings currently underway. Check out all of these films, because it is very possible this will be one of the only chances (outside of a film festival) you will have to see them on a big screen. A special recommendation for two of the most acclaimed features at SXSW 2008: Jake Mahaffy’s SXSW winner Wellness (screening 11/20 and 11/22) and Tom Quinn’s The New Year Parade (screening 11/21 and 11/23). See them! The winners are announced at the Gotham Awards on December 2, in New York.
