Yesterday was the big “Join The Impact” across America rally (with marches in Australia, Canada and Europe) to show solidarity. I was in Montreal, where a good 100 folk came out despite very horrific weather. I don’t really have anything to personally note, but thought I’d link to Towleroad’s impressive gallery of photos from across the US, and share this now widely spread video of Wanda Skyes coming out at a Las Vegas rally:
No cover of People magazine necessary for Wanda. And though we kinda already knew, her decision to make this public at this specific moment – in a fantastic little speech (“Let’s go get our damn equal rights!”) – certainly is a powerful for way for Wanda to join the impact. Imagine if Queen Latifah, Anderson Cooper, Jodie Foster and Kevin Spacey did the same?
