iW NEWS | "27 Club," "Americana" Lead Ojai Winners

The 2008 Ojai FIlm Festival announced the winners of its competition, with Nicholas Bruckman‘s “La Americana” winning for best documentary feature and Erica Dunton‘s “The 27 Club” taking best narrative feature. Other winners included Christina Voros‘ “The Ladies” for best documentary short, Jelmar Hufen‘s “Voor een paar knikkers meer” (“For a few marbles or more”) for best narrative short, Nina Chernik‘s “Maine Story” for best student film, Bill Plympton‘s “Idiots and Angels” for best animated film, and Ava Karvonen‘s “Seeds of Change: The ECO Story” for the festival theme award.
