Former Weinstein Company executive Glen Basner has launched FilmNation Entertainment, a new international sales company. He is kicking off the company at at this week’s American Film Market (AFM). Basner is forming the company as the exclusive international sales agent for Media Rights Capital (MRC) and Samuels Media Group, while forming a non-exclusive sales pact with Endgame Entertainment. Basner’s company is selling a trio of projects from the Night Chronicles label, a partnership between MRC and M. Night Shyamalan. Prior to serving as president of international for TWC, Basner was EVP of international sales and distribution for Focus Features. [Eugene Hernandez]
