New production and finance shingle Werc Werk Works has announced the cast for director Todd Solondz‘s latest film – the yet to be titled, part-sequel/part-variation of his 1998 film “Happiness.” The cast includes Allison Janney, Ciaran Hinds, Charlotte Rampling, Shirley Henderson, Michael Lerner, Michael Kenneth Williams, Paul Reubens, Paris Hilton and Chris Marquette. Werc Werk Works is fully financing and producing the film, for which shooting is now under way in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Werc Works describes the film: “The characters in this [film] struggle to find a place for themselves in an unpredictable and volatile world. The past haunts the present and imperils the future: ghosts circle and loom, trouble and console. The question of forgiveness, and its limits, threads throughout a series of intersecting love stories, offering clarity and, possibly, alternatives to the comforts of forgetting.” [Peter Knegt]
