One of my favorite discoveries from SXSW 2006, was the Nee Brothers’ The Last Romantic. It’s a beautifully made and pointedly funny look at a young man trying to find love and a writing career in New York City. The film won a long list of fans during its 2006 festival run, but soon fell out of the spotlight. Until now. Cinetic Rights Management recently closed a deal with IFC Festival Direct, to bring the film to VOD nationwide. Check your Movies on Demand channel if you have cable, and don’t miss The Last Romantic.
