ND/NF Closes In 'Public'
The Film Society of Lincoln Center’s annual New Directors New Films festival wrapped on Sunday with the New York premiere of Ondi Timoner’s Sundance-winning documentary, We Live In Public. The acclaimed doc (which Cinetic is repping with Submarine) follows the early days of Internet start-ups and the role played by pioneer Josh Harris:
(The party Sunday night, at Midtown bar Amalia, featured many We Live In Public elements, including this “interrogation booth.” Essentially a photo booth, guests were also asked to answer a series of questions to be recorded. If you’ve seen the film, you’d understand.)
(We Live In Public director Ondi Timoner arrives to the party with the film’s subject Josh Harris.)
(Celebrating the end of the festival, Austin filmmakers Robert Byington and Kristen Tucker. Byington wrote and directed the ND/NF premiere, Harmony and Me, while Tucker served as the producer and co-star.)
(Filmmaker Alexis Spraic and Arthouse Films’ David Koh, at the party. Spraic’s feature directorial debut, Shadow Billionaire, premieres at Tribeca later this month. She previously edited the documentaries Maxed Out and Cat Dancers.)
