And My Descent To Dirty Old Man-dom Begins...

I suppose Dirty Old Man is a good name for this blog once I cross the line I’m already flirting with that makes its original name a sham.

Because here I am again, relaying you with my, let’s say, my mild admiration for 20-year old “I Killed My Mother” director Xavier Dolan, who I may have gushed over a bit a few entries back. Michael Giltz has a slew of clips up from his quite intimate interview with Dolan at Cannes. Dolan discusses at length the film, it’s style, when he knew he was gay, he experiences with gay bashing, and whether or not he’s in a relationship (not that I’d care). It’s officially set for the Toronto International Film Festival, and Giltz notes here that the New York Film Festival’s looking good as well. Enjoy:

Oh, and random footnote… In Montreal this past weekend some people noted they remember Dolan’s childhood acting from Quebec drugstore Jean Coutu’s commercials. One of them found it on YouTube and sent it my way:
