Some bizarre news regarding Lars von Trier’s “Antichrist,” which screens in Edinburgh tomorrow (though I’ll unfortunately have left just prior). It looks like, of all things, the movie is being turned into a video game.
It seems someone named Morten Iversen is developing the game for PCs, with an eventual hope to bring it to Xbox Live. Describing the game as a “nightmarish version of Myst,” Iverson told MTV Multiplayer: [The movie] goes against all the conventions of how you make games and what you can do in games. Dead kids, nudity, graphic violence. It will be a very controversial game, and it’ll be a game that doesn’t really compare with anything else.”
I can only imagine.
