John Greyson’s “Covered”

John Greyson's "Covered"

Below is John Greyson's short film "Covered" – a doc about the 2008 Sarajevo Queer Festival, which was cancelled due to anti-gay violence – in its entirety. I'm posting this as a supplement to this article, which discusses the recent controversy surrounding Greyson's removal of the film from the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival in protest of their spotlight on films from Tel Aviv. But that debate aside, the film is certainly worth fifteen minutes of your attention either way. Its an affecting and sensible tribute to the brave organizers in Sarajevo, and I'm glad people are getting a chance to see it despite Greyson's decision to remove it from TIFF.
