This afternoon at 1pm EST, indieWIRE will be bringing you the latest regarding IFP’s announcement of the 19th Annual Gotham Independent Film Award nominations. But in anticipation, I figured I’d go into predictor mode (’tis the first nomination announcement of the season, so awards geek hearts go a flutter). Last year’s nominees were led by Lance Hammer’s “Ballast” with its four nominations, while Courtney Hunt’s “Frozen River,” Charlie Kaufman’s “Synecdoche, New York,” Tom McCarthy’s “The Visitor” and Darren Aronofsky’s “The Wrestler” were also among the five best feature candidates.
