"The Wind Journeys" Picked Up by Film Movement

Ciro Guerra’s Spanish-language drama “The Wind Journeys,” which premiered at Toronto this year, was picked up today by Film Movement. The film, Colombia’s submission to the Oscars for Best Foreign Language Film, focuses on Ignacio Carrillo, who “traveled most of his life through the villages and regions of Northern Colombia playing traditional songs on his accordion, a legendary instrument that was said to be cursed because it once belonged to the devil.” The film will be released in Spring 2010.
