Polanski Granted Bail

Reuters is reporting that a Swiss court has approved Roman Polanski’s bail offer of $4.5 million to be released from prison and kept under house arrest and electronic monitoring at his Swiss chalet.

The Swiss Justice Ministry said Polanski would not be freed immediately. Swiss television quoted Justice Minister Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf as saying she saw no reason to appeal against the court’s decision.
