The Brooklyn Academy of Music’s BAMcinématek will present Rotterdam @ BAM, March 3-9, 2010, showcasing the majority of films in the International Film Festival Rotterdam’s VPRO Tiger Awards competition. The showcase will include press and industry screenings of all scheduled films in addition to public screenings. Previously announced Rotterdam titles include Ben Russell’s “Let Each One Go Where He May,” Anocha Suwichakornpong’s “Mundane History” and Pedro Gonzalez-Rubio’s “To the Sea.” The complete Rotterdam @ BAM line-up of films and events will be announced in January, 2010.
“We are very glad to start this wonderful collaboration with BAMcinématek,” said Rutger Wolfson, Festival Director of the IFFR in a statement. “It gives filmmakers from our Tiger Awards Competition the opportunity to present their works to audiences that will appreciate works by emerging talents as well as to meet with industry professionals that might take their films even further.” [Andy Lauer]
