INDUSTRY MOVES: Caroti Takes PR Spot at BAM

The Brooklyn Academy of Music has named Gabriele Caroti, formerly of The Film Society of Lincoln Center, as its new publicity manager. He served as Repertory Programming Publicist at Film Forum from 2005-2008. He also served as an editor at Stop Smiling magazine. Caroti will be responsible for the press for film programs at BAM, including the BAMcinématek.

Director of Programming for BAM Florence Almozini said in a statement, “We’ve known Gabriele for several years through various film industry channels and have always had very positive associations with him. The extent to which he is well respected and liked by his colleagues and the film press in New York is really impressive and we feel extremely fortunate that he has decided to join the BAMcinématek team.”
