"Precious" For African-American Film Critics

The African-American Film Critics Association has named Precious as the Best Picture of 2009, though snubbed Gabourey Sidibe for best actress in favor of Nicole Beharie for “American Violet.” Also of note: The first unanimous vote in an acting category in the organization’s history came with Mo’Nique’s win for Best Supporting Actress for “Precious.” The full list of winners is below.
