Betty White Gets a New Sitcom!

Betty White Gets a New Sitcom!

And it essentially looks like “The Golden Girls: The Next Generation” except it’s set in Cleveland, the ladies have dye jobs, and White is playing the older Estelle Getty character.

Check out the story here, which explains that White will join Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, and Wendie Malick in “Hot in Cleveland” – about “three eccentric fortysomething best friends from L.A. who wind up stuck in Cleveland and decide to stay there when they realize the locals consider them glamorous.” White plays “a grumpy and opinionated lady who has lived in the cottage of the trio’s Cleveland house for 50 years.”

Oh, and I forgot to mention: its airing on TV Land, one of two original programs the network will start airing (their first) later this year. The other is “Retired at 35,” which will feature Jonathan McClain, George Segal, Jessica Walter, Casey Wilson, and Ryan Michelle Bathe.
