Overture Films has announced that it will release Matt Reeves’ (“Cloverfield”) remake of Tomas Alfredson’s 2008, critically-acclaimed Swedish vampire film “Let the RIght One In” on October 1, 2010. Titled “Let Me In,” the remake is currently shooting in New Mexico and stars Kodi Smit-McPhee (“The Road”) as an alienated 12-year-old boy who befriends a mysterious young newcomer (Chloe Moretz) hiding a dark secret in his small New Mexico town. The film also stars Richard Jenkins (“The Visitor”) as the girl’s father. [Andy Lauer]
