My SXSW Panel

My SXSW Panel

If you’re attending SXSW this year (and why wouldn’t you?), stop by the panels and especially stop by the panel I’m on with Ryan Werner from IFC, David Hudson from The Auteurs, Tim League from the Alamo Drafthouse, and Eugene Hernandez from indieWIRE. It’s called “Saving Cinema in a Digital Era” and it is described by the festival as:

Amidst the rush to find new digital models and preserve a business for indies, how do we save film as an art form? Can we monetize movies and also save cinema? Do we risk films being judged differently as the vast majority of movies are seen on smaller screens?

The panel occurs on Sunday, March 14 at 2:00 p.m. in Austin Convention Center room 16AB. This will be my second year on the panelist side of things for SXSW, and all I have to say is: I’m going to eat my weight in cookies, in the panelist green room.
