That Facebookian petition to have Betty White host SNL has officially suceeded: On May 8th, Ms. White will host the show. One small step forward for the power of social networking… one large step forward for octagenarian female actresses. The episode will be a “Mother’s Day” special.. with female alums of the show Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer and Rachel Dratch (!!!!) also being involved.
