Oscar Red Carpet: Wolfgang, Price Waterhouse, and the Rain!

It was pouring rain for a bit on the red carpet; The tarps held up but there were gaps and handlers were whipping out umbrellas. Virginia Madsen got caught and had to wait for someone to cover her. The dynamic changed.

The Price Waterhouse guys posed before the red carpet bleacher press with their briefcases and winning envelopes. Its part of the ritual. The London Daily Mail’s tall drink of water Baz Bamigboye has arrived. The Brits always come over to him, he’s a familiar friendly face.

Wolfgang Puck and his chefs in white carry in trays of 0scar food–0scar-shaped pizza with caviar on top–for the Governor’s Ball. It’s obviously a PR opportunity and again, part of the annual ritual. Puck told Jeanne Wolf, west coast editor of Parade, that he designed the kitchens at the Hollywood and Highland ballroom, so he won’t let anyone else cook there.
