Film Movement's "Summer" Plans

“How I Ended This Summer,” Aleksei Popogrebsky’s Russian-language thriller, has been picked up for distribution in North America by Film Movement. The film, winner of two Silver Bear awards at Berlin for Best Actor and Best Cinematography, tells the story of two meteorologists, one a seasoned veteran and the other only recently out of school, working in the isolated Arctic Circle. Film Movement plans a September release in New York, with a limited roll-out to follow. It will also be available this Fall on VOD. [Caitlin Nascher]
