Actress Lynn Redgrave has passed away at the age of 67. In an AP report, the Washington Post reported a few minutes ago that she “died peacefully” last night, with her children, at her Connecticut home.
Redgrave was an Oscar nominee for both Silvio Narizzano’s “Georgy Girl” and Bill Condon’s “Gods and Monsters.” Her entire list of credits is available on her IMDb page.
On her own website, Redgrave expressed pride at being, “part of a family of actors.” She noted her parents, Sir Michael Redgrave and Rachel Kempson, sister Vanessa Redgrave, brother Corin Redgrave (who died last month), and nieces Natasha Richardson (who died last year), Joely Richardson and Jemma Redgrave.
“Our beloved mother Lynn Rachel passed away peacefully after a seven year journey with breast cancer,” Redgrave’s children said in a statement via AP. “She lived, loved and worked harder than ever before. The endless memories she created as a mother, grandmother, writer, actor and friend will sustain us for the rest of our lives. Our entire family asks for privacy through this difficult time.” [Eugene Hernandez]
