North American distribution rights for Andrew Paquin’s Tribeca debut “Open House” have been acquired by Grindstone Entertainment Group, a partner of Lionsgate. The film’s producer, Jack Schuster from Stonebrook Entertainment, brokered the deal with Grindstone’s Barry Brooker and Stan Wertlieb, who also serve as executive producers. The film, which is scheduled for a domestic release in August, will also screen in the market in Cannes for international buyers.
The psychological thriller stars Rachel Blanchard, Brian Geraghty, Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, and Tricia Helfer, in the story of sociopathic house hunters who terrorize a woman who is selling her home. [Basil Tsiokos]
