"George Lucas" Doc Secures World Rights Outside UK and Canada

UK based sales company Salt announced today that they have taken on world rights outside of UK and Canada for the documentary feature “The People Vs. George Lucas,” directed by Alexandre O. Philippe. The film recently had its world premiere at this year’s SXSW, and made the list as one of Cinematical’s “Top 3 most buzzed-about films.” Following its success at SXSW, the doc has gone on to screen at Hot Docs, Edinburgh Film Festival, Silverdocs and LAFF.

“Lucas” bills itself as innovative exploration into the love/hate relationship that fans of the “Star Wars” saga have with George Lucas. The film features footage submitted by fans alongside interviews with Francis Ford Coppola, Gary Kurtz and Dave Prowse (aka Darth Vader), to name a few.
