Pixar’s “Toy Story 3” has received (almost) exclusively untainted praise from leading movie reviewers Leonard Maltin, Todd McCarthy, NY Times’s A.O. Scott, and LA Times’s Kenneth Turan. All critics describe the film as a rare example of a successful trilogy finale, and tout Pixar’s ability to continually deliver first-rate films.Turan dotingly calls the film “the kind of love note to movies we want and need.” Scott’s description flatteringly describes the conclusion of the fifteen-year-long project as “a long, melancholy meditation on loss, impermanence and that noble, stubborn, foolish thing called love.”
