African Film Festival Hits Governor's Island Tomorrow

African Film Festival Inc.’s (AFF) third annual Family Day Celebration will be held this Saturday, August 7th, on Governor’s Island. The event, which runs from 12-5 pm, includes short films from emerging African directors, African and Afro-Brazilian dance classes, Double Dutch, storytelling, needle arts, and fine African cuisine.

The film program includes such works as: “A History of Independence,” directed by Daouda Coulibaly and Guew Bi, “Sabar Dances of Senegal” directed by Francoise Bouffault, and “Pumzi” directed by Wanuri Kahiu.
