I should not forget to mention that Lisa Cholodenko’s family comedy, The Kids Are All Right, begins its theatrical release this weekend. Cinetic Media sold the film to Focus Features when it premiered at Sundance in January, and everyone in the Cinetic family of companies, felt a great sense of pride about the initial success of The Kids Are All Right. The reviews and the reactions are accurate: Cholodenko’s film surpasses your expectations and any niche labels, by taking the story of a lesbian couple’s complicated family, and making their story everyone’s story.
