“The Litigator,” a comedy written by Mike Arnold and Chris Poole, is set to be directed by Craig Zobel at Fox. The story follows a young lawyer working at his uncle’s law firm, who finds himself out of his element when he is assigned to defend an innocent man charged with murder. The screenplay was originally an Atomic Fox production, but moved to Fox proper after the company was shuttered last April.
Arnold and Poole have two other scripts in development, “Homeschooled” and “Beaujolais,” with Dreamworks and Fox respectively. Danny McBride is set to star in the latter project.
