– In April 2012, 100 years after the great ship sank, Twentieth Century Fox will re-release Titanic in 3D. James Cameron confirmed this Monday after he spoke at Gloria Stuart’s 100th Birthday celebration. The actress played the elderly Rose in Cameron’s 1997 mega-hit. Cameron called her creativity, artistry and the sparkle in her eyes “a challenge to all of us to live as fully and richly as she has and will continue to do as she heads into her 101st year.”
– EW reports that Javier Bardem will guest star in the upcoming season of Glee, thanks to his newfound friend (and Glee boss) Ryan Murphy, with whom he worked on Eat, Pray, Love. The plan, according to Bardem (who is an admitted gleek) is “we’re going to rock the house” with some Spanish heavy metal, which is apparently the “the worst.” Bardem, who won his Oscar for a psycho-killer in No Country For Old Men, is certainly thinking outside the box.
If you’re going to suggest Hollywood guest stars for Glee, how about ones who can actually sing and/or dance? Chicago stars Renee Zellweger, Richard Gere, and Catherine Zeta-Jones come to mind. Sweeney Todd‘s Johnny Depp. Hairspray stars John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer and Chris Walken. Tony hosts Hugh Jackman, Neil Patrick Harris and Sean Hayes. Or Broadway vets Glenn Close, Meryl Streep, Judi Dench, Frank Langella, Julie Andrews, Patrick Wilson, Jeremy Irons, Bernadette Peters, or Angela Lansbury.
