Factory 25, the Brooklyn-based indie film and music distribution company, has announced that it has acquired rights to “You Wont Miss Me,” the Gotham Award-winning film by Ry Russo-Young. The film premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and was on indieWIRE’s year-end poll of the best undistributed films. It also screened at SXSW, and as the recipient of the 2009 Gotham Independent Film Award for “Best Film Not Playing At A Theater Near You.”
“You Wont Miss Me” is also the first starring role for actress Stella Schnabel. She received the Geraldine Page Award for Best Actress from Methodfest in 2009 for her role in the film. She has a role in the upcoming “Miral,” directed by her father, Julian Schnabel.
Factor 25 founder Matt Grady brokered the deal directly with director Russo-Young.
Ry Russo-Young said in a statement: “Factory 25 is a perfect fit for a film like You Wont Miss Me. I feel extremely lucky to be with a label that releases such beautiful, high quality work that reaches far beyond the traditional DVD model.”

The film will be released in New York City on November 12th at Cinema Village followed by a rollout to select cities across the country. It will also be released on DVD beginning November 23rd as a limited edition LP / DVD combo. Additionally, the film will be available for digital download on the Factory 25 website and via iTunes.
