Freestyle Lands Political Doc “Money”

Freestyle Lands Political Doc "Money"

Ray Grigg’s politically charged documentary “I Want Your Money,” will be receive a U.S. nationwide theatrical roll-out this fall via Freestyle Releasing. In a stragetic move, Freestyle plans to release the film on October 15, when election season shifts into high gear.

“With a plethora of left wing documentaries it’s great to be able to offer the public the other point of view,” said Freestyle Releasing Presidents and Co-Founders Mark Borde and Susan Jackson. “We live in L.A., which is not an accurate representation of the mass opinion and we’ve already seen that there is a tremendous interest in ‘I Want Your Money’ from both the public and exhibition. Tom Richmond’s animation of some of America’s famed political figures, both past and present, coupled with the humor makes the film really entertaining.”

“I Want Your Money” delves into America’s depressed economy, and uses the words and actions of Presidents Reagan and Obama to show the contrast between ‘Reaganomics’ and ‘Obamanomics.’ The film features interviews with well-known public figures, experts and comedic animation to examine how these big governments programs have been tried in the past at great moral and financial cost to the nation.

“I am thrilled to be working with the Freestyle team to make sure a film that we are so passionate about reaches audiences across the U.S.,” said Griggs. “The recent success and great track record with films of this nature made Freestyle a compelling home for ‘I Want Your Money.’ I truly believe the film’s content will strike a chord with audiences and hopefully it will bring attention to serious political and economic dangers that threaten America’s future.”
