Metzger Gets Honor at Oldenburg International Film Festival

Radley Metzger, the cult director of films like “The Cat and the Canary,” “Score,” and “The Opening of Misty Beethoven,” will be honored with the German Independence Honorary Award at the 17th Oldenburg International Film Festival in the German city. The festival, called the “German Sundance” by The Hollywood Reporter, will also include retrospective screenings of Metzger’s work. Says Torsten Neumann, Director of the Oldenburg International Film Festival, “We have long been admirers of Radley’s work and it is a great honor to welcome him to Oldenburg to present a selection of his body of work to the German public.”
