Relativity Media's Ryan Kavanaugh to be Honored at 25th Israel Film Festival

The 25th Israel Film Festival will honor Ryan Kavanaugh, CEO and founder of Relativity Media, with their Achievement in Film Award during the event’s opening night on October 20th. The festival’s founder, Meir Fenigstein, says Kavanaugh’s “accomplishments within the film industry command the highest respect, making him the ideal recipient,” such as his past creation of deals and structures with Sony, Universal and Warner Bros, and his recent first-of-its-kind pay TV deal with Netflix. As a producer, Kavanaugh’s recent projects include the “A Serious Man,” “Brothers,” and director David O. Russell’s upcoming “The Fighter.” Past recipients of the award include directors Edward Zwick, Rob Reiner as well as Sacha Baron Cohen. The festival presents over 40 films in Los Angeles from October 20th – November 4th.
