Following in the footsteps of Roman Polanski, who received the same award last year, Oscar-winning director Milos Forman (“One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” “Amadeus”) will be awarded the Golden Eye Award at this year’s Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) on October 2, within the framework of the “A Tribute to…” series. Polanski’s infamous arrest was made when he flew out to Zurich in 2009 to collect his prize.
To coincide with the award ceremony, ZFF will host a Forman retrospective. A number of Forman’s film will screen, including “The People vs. Larry Flynt,” at the Corso Cinema in Zurich. The director will be on hand to discuss his work as a director at a workshop presented within ZFF’s Master Class series, now in its fifth installment. 25 participants will have the chance to exchange ideas with the director.
