Tsai Ming Liang to Receive Honor at Pusan

The Pusan International Film Festival, one of Asia’s biggest, will honor Taiwanese director as Asian Filmmaker of the Year. Tsai received several awards for his 1994 film “Vive L’Amour” and 2005’s “The Wayward Cloud.” His last film, “Face,” was shown at last year’s Pusan Fest and the 2009 Cannes Film Festival. Tsai’s other film credits include: “Madame Butterfly,” “To Each His Own Cinema,” “Goodbye, Dragon Inn,” and “What Time Is It Over There?” This years festival, the fifteenth installment, will run from October 7 through October 15 in the South Korean city.
