Warners Succession Plan: Meyer Stays, Horn Goes

Warners Succession Plan: Meyer Stays, Horn Goes

It makes sense that respected Warner Bros. chairman and CEO Barry Meyer will stay on in his current role (through the end of 2013), while president and COO Alan Horn will leave his post in April.

Horn is well-liked, with more integrity than most Hollywood execs, but he doesn’t bring added value that cannot be supplied by the trio of mature execs who are jockeying for power. They will share the Office of the President while continuing to run their individual fiefdoms: TV (Bruce Rosenblum), Movies (Jeff Robinov) and Home Entertainment (Kevin Tsujihara).
