The eight films are listed below in alphabetical order by title, with their production company.

Voters from the Academy’s Documentary Branch viewed this year’s 30 eligible entries and submitted their ballots to PricewaterhouseCoopers for tabulation. Last year, “Music by Prudence”, from Roger Ross Williams and Elinor Burkett, won the award (and offered up one the night’s most memorable acceptance speeches).

The 83rd Academy Awards nominations will be announced live on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at 5:30 a.m. PT in the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater. The awards will be presented on Sunday, February 27, 2011.
