Company History

Elephant Eye Films is a full-service New York based film company that produces, sells and theatrically distributes high quality feature films. Founded in 2007 by partners Kim Jose and David Robinson, Elephant Eye is a filmmaker driven company with an eye for great projects with major crossover potential.

During its short lifespan, Elephant Eye has assembled a prestigious slate of projects from some of the world’s most distinctive filmmakers including Lee Daniels, John McNaughton, Spike Lee and Sebastian Silva. Elephant Eye’s slate includes two of the biggest breakout hits last year: the Academy Award winning box office sensation “Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire” and Golden Globe nominated art house hit “The Maid.”

Elephant Eye’s current production, distribution and international sales slate includes Victoria Mahoney’s highly anticipated “Yelling to the Sky” starring Zoe Kravitz and Academy Award nominee Gabourey Sidibe (Precious), John McNaughton’s thriller “The Harvest,” Kim Chapiron’s award-winning “Dog Pound” and Sebastian Silva’s next two features, “Old Cats” and “Second Child.”

Company Focus

Elephant Eye is focused on supporting writer/directors who have projects that deserve be seen and heard all over the world but don’t fit into the box that films are supposed to come in these days.
