Indomina Set to "Clash"

Vietnamese box office hit “Clash,” which marks Lê Thanh Sơn’s filmmaking debut, has been acquired for U.S. distribution by Indomina Releasing, following its international premiere earlier this year at the Tribeca Film Festival.

“”Clash”is a heart-pounding, martial arts, shoot-em up film that brings Vietnamese action cinema to the front stage,” said Jasbinder Singh Mann, C.E.O. of Indomina Group in a statement. “The film exemplifies the Indomina brand, and we are excited to showcase exceptional filmmaking coming from Vietnam.”

Sơn’s film (which earned over $1 million U.S. in Vietnam, making it the country’s highest grossing film in 2009) follows Trinh, a mercenary assigned to recover a stolen hard drive containing codes to Vietnam’s satellite. Together with a band of specialists, Trinh tries to regain control of the device before its sold to the Chinese Triad.

No U.S. release date has been set of yet.
