French Horror “The Pack” Nabbed by Indomina for North America

French Horror "The Pack" Nabbed by Indomina for North America

Following its premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, and fresh from a double win at the 2010 Screamfest in Los Angeles, Franck Richard’s French horror film “The Pack,” has been nabbed by Indomina Releasing for North American distribution from international sales agent, Film Distribution.

“Franck Richard delivers a disturbing, gory, French horror that will leave audience with a chilling aftertaste,” said Jasbinder Singh Mann, C.E.O. of Indomina Group in a press statement. “‘The Pack’ expands the range of genre-based content of the Indomina brand, and we are proud to add ‘The Pack’ to our growing slate.”

Richard’s film follows Charlotte (Emilie Dequenne), a girl whose journey in the countryside of northern France, takes a turn when she picks up a mysterious hitchhiker (Benjamine Biolay). When the stranger she’s picked up disappears at a roadside diner, Charlotte finds herself knocked unconscious and held captive by a disturbed woman (Yolande Moreau).

On choosing to go with Indomina, Films Distribution’s Managing Partner Nicolas Brigaud-Robert stated: “We were courted in Cannes by several U.S. distributors for ‘The Pack.’ We decided to go with Indomina because they are an aggressive new player, coming in with very competent people, and a convincing vision of the market. We felt that, in their hands, ‘The Pack’ is a winner.”
