Berlinale Adds Twenty Titles to 2011 Panorama Section

The 2011 Berlin International Film Festival has just announced twenty more titles to the fest’s Panorama section. The section offers a large and eclectic mix of films that push narrative and formal boundaries. The Berlinale programmers previously released a list of half of 2011 Panorama titles.

Included in the new batch of films is “Amador” from Panorama alum Fernando León De Aranoa (“Familia”), genre film “Vampire,” which stars Kevin Zegers, Rachel Leigh Cook, and Keisha Castle-Hughes, and the eagerly anticipated “Here” from Braden King. The Gael García Bernal-starrer “Even the Rain” will have a special screening February 16 for the festival’s Culinary Cinema program. Celebrity chef Thomas Kammeier will prepare two courses for the screening. Also included in the line-up are three films from India: the surefire Bollywood hit “7 Khoon Maaf” with Priyanka Chopra and John Abraham, the provocateur Q’s “Gandu” (Asshole), and “The Bengali Detective,” directed by British filmmaker Philip Cox.

The 2011 Berlinale runs February 10-20.
