#Sundance Daily Buzz: Morgan Spurlock, Borderline Films, Marshall Curry and more...

Today on the KPCW show that I’m hosting this week in Utah…

Morgan Spurlock (right) talks about faction, the blending between fact and fiction that is on display in his new movie. He funded his $1.5 million movie with the support of 15 corporate brands that coughed up cash to be included in the movie. Their logos were emblazoned on the jacket of the Ted Baker suit he wore to his premiere last night and sported today in the studio for our interview. Tom Bernard told me that Sony Classics will open the film in late April.

Other guests today, included Sean Durkin, Josh Monde and Antonio Campos from Borderline Films and Marshall Curry (“If A Tree Falls…”), as well as festival veterans Karol Martesko-Fenster (Hell And Back Again) and Matt Dentler (Cinetic). And finally today, hot topics buzz with Greg Elwood (HitFix), Thelma Adams (US Weekly) and Brian Brooks (indieWIRE) talking about how Miranda July’s new film, “The Future,” reflects her past relationship with filmmaker Miguel Arteta.
