Two of my favorite guilty pleasures of 2010, “Machete” and “TRON: Legacy” have been summed up rather succinctly in separate and unrelated animated videos out this week. For the former (which arrives on DVD/Blu-ray today), Danny Trejo voices a Claymation version of his character for a Brisk iced tea commercial that abridges the movie into one minute. I don’t recall Machete washing his hands so much, though. And why no reference to everyone’s favorite line, “Machete don’t text”?
As for the “TRON: Legacy” clip, it’s an obvious but well done piece of pixelated 8-bit video game animation complete with an 8-bit remix of Daft Punk’s “Derezzed” track from the score. I wish there was a little more to it than the 25 seconds of light cycles and disc battle. No 8-bit Jeff Bridges?
Watch both videos after the jump.
