Stars and Popcorn gives Silver Tongues a rave!
“Simon Arthur creates a brilliant platform for the leads to present two of the most remarkably irredeemable characters audiences have ever seen. Despite this, though, we can’t help but watch in awe and admiration of their manipulative performances. For some reason their depravity connects with audiences, because the only protagonists Silver Tongues gives us are its villains. The two may not be as over-the-top as the Hannibal Lectors or Patrick Batemans that have come before them, but they manage to twist the reality presented to the audience to such a degree that by the end it’s impossible to tell what is true. The characters take on so many personas and tell so many lies that it’s impossible to get a solid read on them, and it’s this mystery that makes them so engrossing.”
