EXCLUSIVE CLIP: Jim Jarmusch Talks First Film in "Blank City"

Céline Danhier’s documentary “Blank City” goes back to the late 1970s, when New York City was cheap and nasty, to document the rise of a group of renegade filmmakers who shook up the independent filmmaking landscape. The film weaves together an oral history of the ‘No Wave Cinema’ and ‘Cinema of Transgression’ movements with interviews from the people who began it all.

In this exclusive clip from the film watch Jim Jarmusch discuss shooting his first feature film, “Permanent Vacation.”

“Blank City” opens at the IFC Center in New York City on Wednesday, April 6. For more on the film click here.
