The online video essay, a new frontier for film criticism?
Kevin B. Lee at Fandor introduces us to Audiovisualcy, a growing collection of online video essays -a new and increasingly popular platform for film criticism. Right now Audiovisualcy’s operates as both a YouTube and Vimeo channel, but it’s easy to see how a project like this can grow into something much bigger. The brains behind the idea is Film Studies for Free’s Catherine Grant, whose website and twitter feeds have proved to be invaluable resources for film fans and students alike.
