"Atmen," "Geants" Lead Director's Fortnight Winners In Cannes

Karl Markovics’ “Atmen” (Breathing) and Bouli Lanners’ “Les géants” led the winners of Cannes’ Director’s Fortnight section, which were announced this evening.

“Atmen” won the Label Europa Cinemas award for best European film in the section, while “Geants” won both the Art Cinema award and the Prix SACD. The Art Cinema Award is given by the International Confederation of Art Cinemas (CICAE), an art-house association, while SACD Prize is given to the best French-language film.
